Josh was born in Montana and grew up in a small town in Kansas where he attended a small high school, having many experiences like one might have seen in movies like Varsity Blues and Hoosiers. He played high school basketball and still enjoys playing basketball today. Having much of his family in Pinellas County, Josh made his first trip to Clearwater shortly after birth and has been hooked ever since. Josh graduated from Newman University in Wichita, KS with degrees in History and Sociology and continued on to law school at St. Thomas University in Miami, FL, graduating cum laude.

While in college, Josh developed a real passion for helping others. During his senior year, Josh served as the school’s student body president and helped to organize 5 service trips to a Franciscan Mission in Guaymas, Mexico to help the poor. At his graduation, Josh was awarded the school’s top student honor, the annual Harvey J. Ablah Award for exemplifying the spirit and mission of Newman University.

Josh began working at a personal injury law firm as a law clerk the summer before his first year of law school. It was during this summer that he first felt the satisfaction of helping the injured. While in law school, Josh was listed on the Dean’s list numerous semesters, received Top Student Awards in Criminal Law, Wills & Trusts, Advanced Legal Research and Writing and served as St. Thomas’s Mock Trial Team Vice President. He also had the fortune of participating in prestigious internships with then-Chief Judge of Florida’s Third District Court of Appeal the Honorable David L. Levy and in the U.S. Department of Justice at the United State’s Attorneys Office for the Middle District of Florida.

Josh concentrates his practice in civil litigation with a focus on personal injury, premises liability, auto accidents and medical malpractice.

Josh is admitted to practice in all state courts within Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. He is a member of the Florida Bar, the Clearwater Bar Association, the Hillsborough County Bar Association, the Florida Justice Association, the American Association for Justice and the American Bar Association.

Josh is particularly active in the North Pinellas legal community with the Clearwater Bar Association. He has served in various leadership roles with the Clearwater Bar including President of the Young Lawyers’ Division, President-Elect of the Young Lawyers’ Division, Secretary/Treasurer of the Young Lawyers’ Division, Director of the Young Lawyers’ Division, Co-Chair of the Civil-Practice Committee and Ex Officio member of the Board of Directors.

Josh is happily married to a registered nurse named Michelle. Josh is an avid fan of the University of Kansas basketball team, the Kansas State University football team, the Tampa Bay Rays and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
